eCubed provided the Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics and Sustainability Services for the new Fisher and Paykel Appliances Global Headquarters, including Site Infrastructure.
The project comprises of a new:
11,000 sqm Home (Office) building
4,500 sqm Shed (Product Development) building
18,000 sqm Garage (car parking) building.
At the new global Headquarters building for Fisher & Paykel Appliances, visitors will be an inclusive environment for their people to work in. It will provide an environment that will facilitate collaboration for Fisher & Paykel’s people whom they recognize are from diverse backgrounds and have diverse skills and experience.
Their new home will provide a socially resilient environment for their people to work within while also being a development that minimises its embodied and operational carbon footprint. This environment extends to the rejuvenation of the land it sits on such that the outside realm offers further protection of the environment within and beyond the site.
The masterplan development will comprise of the Home Building for administration, research, design and product development, the Shed Building for appliance prototype laboratories, workshops, and testing, and the Garage Building for staff vehicle parking and end of trip facilities.
In addition to these three buildings, a landscaping strategy has been developed to provide workers with a range of outdoor spaces for work and leisure with strong ecological initiatives. Fisher & Paykel is one of the bedrocks of New Zealand innovation, being engaged in how people want to live for more than 80 years.
