Zach has been a building services engineer since 2008 and specialises in HVAC design. He began his career working for Aquaheat, one of the largest mechanical contracting firms in New Zealand. His time at Aquaheat provided him with valuable experience in practical design.

After 5 years in the contracting industry Zach decided to apply his experience in the consulting world. He enjoys the design challenges introduced to him within the consulting field and has been there ever since. Over the years, Zach has gained valuable experience in designing for new and existing buildings. These include commercial, retail, industrial, educational, residential, correctional, hospitality and laboratory facilities.

Zach joined eCubed Building Workshop in 2018 and is continuing to apply his design skillset albeit with more focus on sustainability and overall integrated approach.

Zach’s approach to design is to achieve practicality, performance and cost effectiveness. He will seek to understand what the client wishes to achieve and provide the appropriate advice and design to suit in accordance with the Building Code and best engineering practices.

Zach is often challenging himself and strives for excellence. This is also reflected in his life outside of work through his various fitness goals and his interest in reading and learning new things.
